The predecessor of Shandong Zhongji Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., Longkou Zhenhua Electrical Special Equipment Factory, was founded in 1987. At that time, due to the unique and complex processes required for motor winding assembly production lines and the need for electromechanical integration, such equipment was not manufactured in China. Only Germany, Italy, and other developed countries were capable of producing it, but the price was prohibitively expensive, making it inaccessible for domestic enterprises. Without motor production equipment, the motors required for manufacturing electrical appliances could only be imported, resulting in significant foreign exchange losses.
Seizing the Opportunity and Overcoming Challenges
Recognizing this issue, the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China listed the development of this equipment as a key project for national bidding. Wang Weixiu, keenly aware of the business opportunity, seized it and successfully bid on the project. Leading a team of technicians, he worked tirelessly to overcome challenges, despite having no reference data or access to direct investigation and learning resources. Starting from scratch, they successfully developed a mechanized assembly line for washing machine motors, passing ministerial appraisal in 1989 and winning the third prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 1991. Consequently, the enterprise was designated as a specified product unit by the Ministry of Machinery Industry. The product not only replaced imported equipment but was also priced at just one-fourth of the imported alternatives, enabling domestic motor manufacturing to transition from manual to mechanized production.

For more than 30 years since then, Shandong Zhongji Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. has been committed to "serving the country, daring to be the first, and taking the revitalization of national industry as its own responsibility." The company has pursued a path of independent innovation, making innovation the driving force of the enterprise. Shandong Zhongji Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. has undertaken and completed 21 national, provincial, and ministerial "Spark," "Torch," and "Promotion" programs, as well as 27 national key new product programs. It has presided over and participated in drafting 10 national and industrial standards and has won 21 national, provincial, and ministerial science and technology progress awards.
